A meeting with applicants has been jointly organized by Baku Engineering University (BEU) and the Public Council under the Absheron District Executive Power.  

The event, which was attended by the principals of Absheron district schools, senior students, as well as the faculty and staff of BEU, first commemorated the dear memory of our martyrs with a minute of silence, followed by the National Anthem.

Delivering his opening speech, BEU Rector Yagub Piriyev expressed his satisfaction with seeing young people on the verge of student life at the university, emphasizing that choosing the right specialty, as well as a higher education institution, is of particular importance for them at the moment. Noting that rapid changes are taking place in the technological field in the world today and the need for digital technologies is increasing, the rector drew attention to the modern specialties taught at BEU. Moreover, he spoke extensively about the existing material and technical opportunities for combining theory and practice, conducting research, and developing startups at the university, where professional personnel are trained in information technologies, economics, and logistics. The rector emphasized that the educational institution has advanced in international rankings as a result of the joint dual diploma program between BEU and INHA University of Korea, the university's cooperation with other foreign universities, as well as the reforms implemented in recent years. Speaking about BEU's cooperation with private enterprises, Yagub Piriyev pointed out the employment and career advancement of graduates and wished the applicants much success in the entrance exams to be held in the coming days.

Then, the Chairperson of the Public Council under the Absheron District Executive Power Khatira Ismayilova stated that every year students from various schools in the region show high results in entrance exams and their success brings joy to everyone. Expressing her confidence that this year the applicants would be admitted to higher education institutions with good scores, Khatira Ismayilova spoke about the advantages of studying at BEU, the only higher education institution in the Absheron region. At the same time, she emphasized the responsibilities of the victorious Azerbaijani youth who achieved a historic victory in the 44-day Patriotic War.

The Chairperson of the Absheron regional organization of the New Azerbaijan Party Abbas Aliyev touched upon that personnel training is successfully carried out at BEU thanks to educational programs that meet modern requirements, educated professors and teaching staff, laboratories that create research and practice opportunities, and the possibility of providing university graduates with jobs in state and non-state institutions, and called on applicants to make the right choice for their bright future.

Later, a promotional film of BEU and a short artistic program performed by the university's dance collective were shown.

Afterwards, the applicants, accompanied by the deans and heads of departments of the specialties they were interested in, got to know the educational buildings and laboratories of the university closely..
