BEU hosts meeting on preparation for new academic year

Baku Engineering University (BEU) has hosted a meeting on preparation for the 2022/2023 academic year, including the discussion of upcoming tasks. 

Noting the expansion of restoration and construction works in Karabakh and East Zangezur under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, BEU Rector, professor Havar Mammadov emphasized that the population relocation to the reconstructed Aghali village within the framework of the "Smart Village" project in Zangilan district, and the taking control of Zabukh and Sus villages by the Azerbaijani Army located in Lachin city were the next historical achievements of our country.

Furthermore, the Rector pointed out that the attention, care and support of the President of the country has made new contributions to all areas, including the education sector, and spoke about the successes achieved in various directions of higher education.

Congratulating on the beginning of the new academic year, Havar Mammadov touched upon that high admission rates were recorded at BEU this year, and BEU admission plan was filled by 97.78 percent. The Rector said that the number of students who scored more than 600 points increased twice, and the number of those scoring more than 500 points exceeded 70 percent.

The rector highlighted many nuances related to the preparation for the new academic year of BEU, giving relevant instructions and recommendations on the issues of the load distribution of the teachers, improvement of personnel, preparation of university auditoriums for the teaching process, supply of laboratories, strict observance of disciplinary rules, and etc. Moreover, the Rector drew attention to prospective issues in a number of directions.

Later, Vice-Rector for educational affairs Hamzagha Orujov, Vice-Rector for educational affairs Bayram Huseynzada and others expressed their views on the issues within the University.
