On February 11, the first meeting of the Scientific Council of Baku Engineering University (BEU) for the current year has been held.

In accordance with the agenda, the meeting heard reports on the results of the winter examination session of the 2024/2025 academic year and ways to improve the quality of education, the results of scientific research conducted in the 2024 calendar year, as well as the evaluation of the results of questionnaire surveys.

Extensive discussions were held on the reports presented, as well as on the effective organization of conferences organized by the university, scientific and methodological seminars, participation of employees and students in domestic and international grant projects, promotion of the acquisition of inventions and patents, their commercialization, improvement of the activities of scientific journals published at BEU, expansion of relations with scientific libraries of other prestigious universities, increasing the number of impact factor publications of employees, etc. After listening to the opinions and suggestions regarding all three reports, Rector Yagub Piriyev gave a number of instructions and recommendations to the heads of the structures regarding the issues discussed.

The reports were considered satisfactory, taking into account the suggestions and recommendations.

At the meeting, honorary certificates were also presented to employees of jubilee age for their fruitful activities in the public and social life of the university.
