BEU Student Scientific Society (SSS) has organized an information seminar on "TEKNOFEST" - the international aviation, space and technology festival at Baku Engineering University (BEU).
Speaking at the seminar, Manafaddin Namazov, Vice-Rector for international relations of the university, noted the advantages of organizing "TEKNOFEST" in the international world and for the first time in May this year in Azerbaijan. Reminding that BEU RED team won the first place at the TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan festival in the category of Robotics, the Vice-Rector expressed his hope that this achievement would be repeated in the coming years, and called on young people to be more active in innovation-based competitions.
Later, Yusuf Polat, director of "Bilim Baku" Center, made a presentation at the seminar. He emphasized that Turkey's largest aerospace and technology festival has been held annually since 2018 with the joint organization of the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (the T3 Foundation). Azerbaijan participated in TEKNOFEST Aerospace and Technology Festival for the first time in 2021.
Pointing out the IV and V industrial revolutions created by the modern technological development era, Y. Polat mentioned that preparations for TEKNOFEST-2023 have already started. He also provided detailed information about the "Deneyap" program, a complex and different educational model that allowed you to acquire the skills of the 21st century, and the "Take Off Baku" Startup Summit, which brought customers, investors or interested parties together.
Afterwards, Huseyn Mirzayev, the dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Elchin Yusubov, the head of the Science and Innovation Department of BEU, and Khadija Abdullazada, the chairperson of SSS, also took the floor. Of note, the seminar aims to encourage students to implement their ideas and support their active participation in this process. It was also emphasized at the event that students continued to prepare for the competition in the Mechanics laboratory of BEU.
