Baku Engineering University (BEU) has hosted the final stage of the "PASHA Bank Cup VI" programming competition organized for the purpose of supporting the development of the information technology sector in the country, revealing the potential of young people studying in this direction, as well as working personnel and improving their skills.
Participants of different age groups, including schoolchildren, students and professional programmers joined the competition held by "PASHA Bank" since 2019 and tested their programming and algorithmic knowledge.
The first two stages of the three-stage competition (data structures, search and sorting algorithms; dynamic programming, graph theory) were held online.
68 participants who showed high results in these stages qualified for the finals. In the final round, the participants were given the task of compiling 6 algorithmic problems in 4 hours and testing them on the "HackerRank" platform. According to the results of the competition, winners were determined in 4 categories (pupil, student, professional, PASHA Bank engineers).
The winners of the first three places in each category were awarded by "PASHA Bank" with valuable gifts (1st place "MacBook Pro M3", 2nd place "iPad Pro 11 M4", 3rd place "Apple watch").
Rashad Mammadov, a graduate student of the "Information Systems in Management" specialty of BEU, was awarded the 2nd place in the "Professionals" category, and Ulvi Aslanli, a 2021 graduate of the "Computer Engineering" specialty, was awarded the 2nd place in the "PASHA bank engineers" category.
