An event called "Multicultural Novruz holiday" has been organized for foreign students studying at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

At the event, the head of the Department of Foreign Languages Atraba Gul gave detailed information about the history of the holiday, which contains the rich national and spiritual values of Azerbaijan, as well as the inclusion of Novruz, which is the bearer of multicultural traditions, on the Representative List of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

In the interactive presentation of the moderator of the event Gunel Iskenderova, the traditions related to Novruz holiday, the celebrated four Wednesdays, as well as information about the different symbolic meaning of each blessing that decorates the holiday tables were brought into consideration.

Novruz sweets were presented to foreign students at the event, which continued with Yalli dance.

The event was attended by the administrative team of BEU-INHA DDP, Mr. Ho Hyun Jin, the newly appointed teacher of Korean language at Sejong Institute, and employees of the Department of Foreign Languages, as well as the Department of International Cooperation and Project Management.
