BEU hosts event dedicated to May 28 - Independence Day

Baku Engineering University (BMU) has hosted a event entitled “Yurdum, yuvam, məskənimsən!” on the occasion of May 28- Independence Day.

  Starting with the playing of the National Anthem,  conveying his congratulations on the occasion of the holiday, BEU Rector, professor Havar Mammadov drew attention to the history of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, which had a great influence on the formation of democratic traditions in the Muslim East, and the great works done by the Republic, which has existed for only 23 month. 

Bringing into attention the political processes experienced in the first years after the restoration of our state independence, the Rector emphasized the historical services of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in protecting and perpetuating the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Stating that with the political will of the President Ilham Aliyev, who duly realized the National Leader's concept of statehood and strong Azerbaijan, our homeland has achieved success in all fields, and our territorial integrity has been ensured, Havar Mammadov noted that our country celebrates the Independence Day as a victorious and proud nation.

Later, a ceremony was held to reward students who distinguished in the social life of the university. Rector Havar Mammadov, who presented honorary degrees and gifts to the students, wished them success in their future activities.

The event continued with an artistic part performed by BEU students.
