Baku Engineering University (BEU) has hosted an awareness raising event on "Raising awareness on compulsory health insurance." The purpose of the event was to inform teachers, students and staff about the system of compulsory health insurance, its advantages, the gradual introduction of compulsory health insurance in the country.

In his opening speech at the event, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs Bayram Huseynzada spoke about the successful reforms carried out by the President in the healthcare system in recent years.    

B.Huseynzada stressed that the implementation of compulsory health insurance in the country as a continuation of these reforms would contribute to the development of health.

Nurlan Mammadov, Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance, told the participants about the essence and importance of the compulsory medical insurance system, the gradual application of the system in the country, insurance premiums for population groups, application of co-financing and medical territorial units

The event continued with a question and answer session.
