On February 9, the next meeting of the Scientific Council of Baku Engineering University (BEU) was held.

BEU Rector Yagub Piriyev brought to the attention of the issues on the agenda of the meeting.

The meeting presented reports on “Results of the winter examination session of the 2023-2024 academic year and ways to improve the quality of education”, “Results of scientific research works in the 2023 calendar year” and “Evaluation of questionnaires”. All three reports were considered satisfactory after listening to them and taking into account the suggestions and recommendations. It was decided to give a number of tasks to the relevant structures of the university regarding the issues arising from the report.

After the reports, the rules on rewarding BEU employees whose works were published in prestigious scientific publications, as well as the editorial board of the university's scientific journals, as well as the rules for preparing bachelor's theses, were familiarized with, and after extensive discussions, the rules were approved.

The meeting also considered the issue of establishing the BEU Scientific Research Center, and a positive decision was made on this.

The meeting also approved the new staffing table of BEU, as well as the Action Plan for the QS.
