BEU graduates become the winners of "Yukselish"(Rise) competition

BEU graduate Jafar Jafarov is the youngest winner of the competition

 

Graduates of Baku Engineering University (BEU) are among the winners of the "Rise" competition. Thus, Nazim Novruzov, MBA graduate of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciencess of BEU, majoring in Business Administration for the 2017/2018 academic year, and Jafar Jafarov, undergraduate alumnus of World Economy (English) Department for 2018/2019, won the competition.

It should be noted that BEU graduate J.Jafarov was the youngest winner of the "Rise" competition. During his studies, Jafarov also distinguished with successful performance in the teams representing BEU. In 2017, the BEU team, of which he was a member, took first place in the most prestigious business competition (Azerbaijan Business Case Competition) among undergraduate and graduate students studying finance, business and economics.

Moreover, the "Rise" competition was established by the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev signed on July 26, 2019 to identify and support promising leaders with a high intellectual level and management skills and to establish a human resources bank in the country. The competition “Rise" coversthe higher-educated citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan aged 21-51, with 2 years of management experience. The competition consists of 5 stages - registration, online selection, face-to-face, semi-final and final.

A total of 11,760 people applied for the competition, of which 27 people with outstanding management skills and competencies won. In addition to the inclusion of the winners in the reserve bank, they will receive a 1-year individual development plan and a self-development grant of AZN 20,000 each.
