Employees of Baku Engineering University (BEU) have taken part in a meeting organized by BEU in the framework of the Erasmus + KA2 project entitled “Innovative training center to support a 3rd cycle advanced education course to face environmental emergency in Azerbaijan”. BEU employees Parviz Hasanov, Yusif Abdullayev and Arif Najimov made their proposals during the discussions..
The meeting aimed to discuss the preparations for the opening of the Innovative Training Center in the framework of the project "ITACA" Erasmus + KA2 in early November this year, and the technical and organizational issues related to the placement and use of purchased equipment.
Research and training to address various environmental issues will be organized in the ITC, which will involve the European Union and local authorities, as well as environmental and oil and gas companies, in order to contribute to the strengthening of links between the university and industry during the three-year project. The center also plans to apply innovative teaching methodologies to local partner universities, based on the experience of EU partner universities, which will allow for the modernization of the local higher education system.
More information about the EU-funded project, implemented by the Sapienza University in Rome, Italy, can be found at www.itacaproject.eu.
