The Innovation Center of State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan has held a reporting event entitled "Skills for the future: Together for the future".
5 BEU employees (Elchin Yusubov, Samir Guliyev, Arif Najimov, Tahira Salayeva and Ulvi Yagubov) who successfully completed the Mentorship Programme of the project were awarded certificates and gifts at the event.
The event was attended by Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations Ulvi Mehdiyev, heads of higher education institutions and others.
A report on the “Skills for the future” project, mentorship and “Tusi-2C incubation” programs was presented at the meeting. Views were expressed about the organization of innovative activities in education, improvement of knowledge and skills of students and teachers, as well as information was provided on the work carried out and to be started within the framework of the project.
Later, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the universities newly joined the program and the Ministry of Education.
Of note, the project, implemented since April 2021, aims to increase human resources in the field of innovation, promote innovation in education, support students in the educational process to develop their innovative ideas and direct them to inventions that play an important role in technological development.
At the initial stage, 4 universities, BEU, Azerbaijan Technical University, Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, and as mentors 48 teachers joined the project. At the next stage, 9 higher education institutions participated in the project.
