Assoc. prof. Parviz Hasanov and Etibar Gahramanov have participated in the events (2nd Assembly) organized at Finland's Lahti University of Technology within the framework of the "CAMPAIGNers" international project based on the "Horizon 2020" program.

During the visit, the first meeting was held with the Environmental Director of Lahti city and the coordinator of the "CAMPAIGNers" project, the research activities carried out within the project were discussed.

Then research works were carried out in the pilot and amateur cities selected as targets in the project, translation of the obtained data into different languages, and at the same time, the presentation of the obtained experience in groups was carried out.

Software (mobile application) was built based on the project. The mobile application called "Climate Campaigners" was developed in the languages of the countries to which more than 30 organizations represented in the "Campaigners" project belong, including in Azerbaijani. Although the process of improving the mentioned mobile application continues, it is currently possible to download and use it from the "Play Store" platform. The main goal of the software is to calculate the carbon footprint based on targets selected by users in the areas of transportation, food, energy and consumption. This allows users to identify the areas from which they mainly affect the environment. Thus, thanks to the targets selected in the program, it is possible to contribute to the prevention of global warming and climate changes by reducing the carbon footprint.

During the discussions, the existing goals in the software, the identification of potential goals for the participating cities and their inclusion in the software, as well as the translation of the software into the languages of the participating countries, and its use in those countries were reviewed.

In the following days, with the participation of BEU representatives, group discussions were held according to the directions of the project. Quality assessment of the project and dissemination of information about the project, discussion of the results achieved so far, the next goals and obligations for the implementation of the project were brought into the center of attention.

It should be noted that in order to ensure the continuity of the research works carried out within the framework of the project, regular work is carried out on online platforms.
