The 1st Republican Conference on “Actual Problems of Astronomy and Astrophysics” has been held under the auspices of the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory named after N. Tusi.
The event was also attended by employees of the Physics Department of Baku Engineering University (BEU) as keynote speakers.
At the conference, BEU professor, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Corresponding Member of ANAS Vali Huseynov delivered a report on “Detection possibilities of boosted relic neutrinos and antineutrinos coming from the vicinity of pulsar in Crab nebula”, and senior lecturer of the department, Doctor of Philosophy in Astronomy Hazi Gasimov on “Distribution of perihelion lengths of periodic comets”.
Extensive discussions were held on both reports, which were met with interest by the participants.
A total of 54 scientific reports were heard in 6 sections, including 9 plenary ones, at the conference, which was held in a hybrid format and lasted two days.
