Employees of Baku Engineering University (BEU) has participated in the "2024 K-Innovation Training Program(training of trainers for technology start-ups)organized in Seoul within the framework of the project "Operation program of the High Technologies Park in Azerbaijan: implementation and capacity building" jointly implemented by the High Technologies Park of the Ministry of Science and Education and the Science and Technology Policy Institute of South Korea.

It is important to emphasize that the training on technology startups consists of three parts, and the first training was held online in July of this year, with the presentation of Korean professors. 3 BEU employees, Mayis Azizov, Head of Science and Innovation Department, Technopark Director Isa Gasimov, Technopark Specialist Narmin Ismayilova, and 17 people from our country attended the training.

The second part of the training took place in Seoul on August 25-29, and at the end, certificates were presented to 6 participants, including BEU Technopark director I. Gasimov and specialist N. Ismayilova.

During the visit to Seoul, the participants of the training also met with the ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Korea Ramin Hasanov, and discussed the problems and opportunities of the innovation ecosystem.

The curriculum of the training based on the training of trainers for startups offering high technologies was developed on the basis of the global scale "I-Corps" training program. The I-Corps training program is an initiative of the US National Science Foundation, designed to help researchers turn their scientific discoveries into commercial products and services. The program aims to develop the entrepreneurship of scientists and engineers by providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to bring their innovations to market.

The third part of the training program is planned to be held online in September.
