BEU employees attend training held as part of ECAR project

BEU employees (Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Associate Professor Elchin Suleymanov and employee of the Department of International Relations and Project Management Narmin Alakbarova) have attended the training held within the framework of  Erasmus+ project “Establishment of Rectors’ Conference in Azerbaijan” (ECAR).

The “Fundamentals of Leadership” training hosted by Azerbaijan University and supported by Azerbaijan HR Institute were attended by officials from 16 higher education institutions which were local partners of the project.”

Yusif Gasimov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of Azerbaijan University, briefed on the work done within the project.

Rector of the University Saadat Aliyeva emphasized that the discussions held during trainings would contribute to the development of science and education in Azerbaijan, as well as to the successful implementation of the ECAR project and the achievement of project goals. Noting that the close cooperation of higher education institutions in our country would widen horizons for Azerbaijani education, the Rector wished success to the training.

Emil Huseynov, the founder of the Azerbaijan HR Institute, stressed that the organization aimed to support the development of human capital in our country, and also expressed satisfaction on the partnership with the ECAR project.

The event running on with “Fundamentals of Leadership” training covered an in-depth discussion of the topics of “Components of Individual Performance,” “Components of Corporate Performance,” “Motivation,” “Maslow’s Theory,” “Herzberg’s Theory,” “Situational Leadership Model,” “Rules of Giving Feedback,” “ DISC Model of Behavior.”

At the end, the participants were awarded certificates.

Of note, the main goal of the project, in which BEU is a partner, is to further develop cooperation between universities and stakeholders through the establishment of rectors’ conference based on national development strategies. The coordinator of the project covering 2021-2024 is Baku Business University.
