BEU employee takes part in meeting organized within the Erasmus + project

Narmin Alakbarova, an employee of the International Relations and Project Management Department of Baku Engineering University (BEU), has attended the second meeting of project managers held at Baku Business University within the Erasmus + project "Establishment of the Rectors' Conference in Azerbaijan".

The meeting was attended by officials of 15 Azerbaijani universities, members of the project consortium. According to the purpose of the meeting, the project managers first got acquainted.

Then, extensive discussions were held on the activities envisaged in accordance with the project work plan, organizational issues related to the implementation of the project, as well as measures to publicize the project activities under the moderation of the project coordinator Gulshan Bayramova.

In the end, the managers specified the works to be done in the next stages and set a number of tasks.

It should be noted that the project aims to develop comprehensive cooperation among universities through a conference of rectors in accordance with national development strategies. The successful implementation of the project will provide significant support for the integration of the Azerbaijani higher education system into the Bologna process, as well as lay the foundation for useful cooperation for the exchange of knowledge, skills and experience with relevant partners at the international level.

The project identifies new formats of cooperation between local and European universities. In the next stages, Azerbaijani universities will have a chance to become members of a number of international organizations. Moreover, the conference will create a basis for the representation of Azerbaijani universities in the international arena. The conference will also support the internationalization of educational programs of local universities and increase the competitiveness of universities.
