BEU Distance Education and Quality Assurance Center launches new project

"Research and Innovation Academy" project is launched by the Distance Education and Quality Assurance Center of the Baku Engineering University (BEU).

The project aims to strengthen the research and innovation potential in higher education. Moreover, increasing the human resources of BEU, ensuring the professional development of the academic staff and improving the quality of scientific researches were identified as key goals.

The project will be launched on June 29, 2021 under the title "Research in the Social Sciences". The purpose of the 6-month program for young researchers within the University, supported by the Department of World Economy of BEU, is to train young people with research interests and potential, to support them in publishing scientific publications in prestigious international scientific journals.

It is also expected that young researchers who successfully complete these programs will play a leading role in the process of training new researchers. 

Moreover, the trainings will be conducted by both local and foreign specialists in different modules within the program. Detailed information about the training process and trainers will be provided regularly during the program.

It should be noted that the head of the first program is PhD. in Economics Shahriyar Mukhtarov, the head of the Department of World Economy at BEU, a member of the editorial board of a number of prestigious scientific journals. He is the author of more than 60 scientific papers (more than 30 of which are published in journals indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus databases), 1 textbook  as well as the author of 1 Chapter of the book entitled “Strategic Outlook in Business and Finance Innovation: Multidimensional Policies for Emerging Economies” published by the prestigious Emerald Publishing House in UK.
