Baku Engineering University(BEU) has hosted a seminar dedicated to the 110th anniversary of prominent literary critic and critic, Honored Scientist, academician Mammad Jafar Jafarov. 

       Underlining the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev “On the celebration of the 110th anniversary of Academician Mammad Jafar Jafarov”, Ph.D. in Philology, assoc.prof. Emin Agayev, Head of Azerbaijani Language and Literature Department, emphasized the care and attention of our state to science, culture and art figures. He spoke about the literary and artistic activities of Mammad Jafar Jafarov, as well as about his activities in the socio-political development of our country.

       Speaking at the event, Akif Hüseynli  Professor of the Department of Azerbaijani Language and Literature Department at Baku Engineering University, spoke about the scientific activity of the great scientist, a prominent representative of aesthetic thought and literary criticism. He added that Academician was the author of the works dedicated to the history and theory of Azerbaijani literature, and the books on literary, aesthetic and pedagogical problems. Professor pointed out that Mammad Jafar Jafarov was the founder of the Literature School in Azerbaijan, as well as the founder of the scientific-theoretical concept of Romantic movement in Azerbaijani literature. 

       At the end, the questions of the students were answered.
