Representatives of the Ruipan International Education Technology Company of the Republic of China have visited Baku Engineering University (BEU).

Noting his satisfaction about the visit of the guests, Rector Yagub Piriyev touched upon the history of relations between Azerbaijan and China and said that the expansion and development of cooperation meets the main and long-term interests of the two countries and serves peace, stability, socio-economic and cultural progress. The rector emphasized the importance of the projects implemented in the field of education between our countries, especially the Inter-Governmental Scholarship Program, mentioning that the program created an opportunity for the citizens of Azerbaijan and China to study in the universities of the other country on the basis of student exchange.

Later, speaking in detail about BEU material and technical base, academic staff, modern laboratories, taught specialties, Yagub Piriyev emphasized the positive effects of the university's expanding international relations in recent years. 

In her turn,  giving information about "Beijing Rupian International Education Technology", Ms. Li Xin, the director of the company, said that the company located in Beijing has established cooperation between Chinese universities with a strong material and technical base and higher education institutions of the world countries, as well as has worked towards the development of various technological toolse-learning, online courses, educational resources. She added that the company implements joint international programs for students, organizes winter and summer camps, conducts interdisciplinary academic exchanges of mutual interest, including participation in various projects aimed at strengthening international cooperation and developing relations with various universities.

During the meeting, the issues of sending students studying information technologies (IT) to mutual education, as well as the involvement of BEU students in relevant specialties in China, as well as the organization of summer schools for Chinese students in Azerbaijan for the purpose of familiarization, were discussed. Also, the organization of teachers' mutual visits was considered, a preliminary agreement was reached on the involvement of Chinese teachers in IT classes at BEU in the second semester of this academic year.
