Head of the Foreign Languages Department of Baku Engineering University (BEU), Associate Professor Atraba Gul has participated in the training organized by the State Examination Center (SEC), as well as the State Committee for Family, Women and Children of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The training was dedicated to "Gender equality in public administration: current situation and challenges.

It was noted at the event that the above-mentioned state committee, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had prepared a scientific tool "Curriculum on Gender Equality in the Civil Service within the project "Good governance for local development in the South Caucasus" implemented by the German Society for International Cooperation. The participants were informed that the tool was published in order to increase women's participation in society, expand their participation in non-traditional areas along with traditional activities, ensure the principle of gender equality in public administration and increase the professionalism of civil servants.

At the event, an employee of BEU commented on the issues discussed.

It should be noted that representatives of a number of higher education institutions also participated in the training.
