BEU and Uzbekistan university sign memorandum

A delegation led by the rector of the Tashkent International University of Financial Management and Technology of the Republic of Uzbekistan Azizkhon Nodirov has visited Baku Engineering University (BEU).

Expressing his satisfaction with seeing the guests at BEU, rector Yagub Piriyev spoke about the friendly and fraternal relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, noting that the relations between the two peoples, which are based on a common history, cultural heritage, and national-ethnic foundations, have been further developed by adapting them to the challenges of the modern era with the policies of President Ilham Aliyev and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. He also emphasized that these relations also cover the field of education, and a number of relevant documents have been signed between the two countries, providing for cooperation at various levels of education. Providing information about the material and technical base, faculty, and modern laboratories of the higher education institution, the rector touched upon BEU international relations, highlighting the positive aspects of cooperation with foreign universities.

The rector of the Tashkent International University of Financial Management and Technology Azizkhon Nodirov shared his most pleasant impressions about our country and also highly appreciated the establishment of relations with BEU. The rector emphasized his belief that cooperation would deepen in the future and cover a wide range of issues.

Later, the universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation.

The memorandum covers issues such as increasing interest in teaching, education and scientific research activities of universities, working on joint research projects, including proposals, etc. Moreover, the document also envisages the exchange of faculty members, students and administrative staff.

Following the meeting, the guests got acquainted with the modern auditoriums and laboratories of BEU, as well as the Technopark.
