The delegation of Baku Engineering University (BEU) has visited Shandong University of Technology as part of its visit to the People's Republic of China.

The meeting between BEU Vice-Rector for International Relations Atraba Gul and Shandong University of Technology Vice-Rector Chen Shengwei reviewed the formation of relations between the two universities, discussing international bachelor's programs and other educational programs based on the "2+2" model.

During the meeting, an agreement was reached to establish a China Center at BEU and an Azerbaijan Center at Shandong University of Technology.

Following the discussions, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the two higher education institutions. The signing ceremony emphasized the importance of developing academic relations, also stating that this cooperation would strengthen relations between Azerbaijan and China in the fields of education, research, and technology, and would have a positive impact on the development of strategic cooperation between the two countries. Moreover, it was stated that these relations support the 4th (quality education) and 17th (shared solutions and cooperation) directions of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
