Baku Engineering University has hosted an event titled "Destiny of the Son of the Fatherland" dedicated to the third anniversary of the April battles, organized by the "Patriotism" club. The University administration, faculty and students, as well as parents, family members and veterans of the April martyrs attended in the event organized.

    A short film about the April battles was demonstrated at the event, which began with a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs and the national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

     Then the Rector of the University, Professor Havar Mammadov greeted the participants and spoke about the attention and care of President Ilham Aliyev to our army, the families of martyrs and veterans. The rector emphasized the importance of organizing such events in universities to raise awareness of students regarding the spirit of patriotism.

     Parents and family members of the April martyrs who attended the event thanked the University administration and students for organizing such event and paying attention to them.

     Veterans of the April battles informed the students about the strength of the Azerbaijani army, the morale of the army and the opportunities provided by the liberated strategic territories to our army as a witness of the battles.

    Along with speeches, songs and poems performed by singer of military patriotic songs, chairman of the Public Union "Support to the Promotion of Patriotism", Shamistan Alizamanli, an employee of the university, Vugar Mammadov, and students were performed.

    It should be noted that on the eve of the 3rd anniversary of the "April Battle", members of the BEU "Patriotism" club visited the Alley of Martyrs in Sumgayit and the family of our 20-year-old martyr Shulan Bayramov, who lives in Sumgayit.
