An article entitled "Osmanlı Devleti"nde Azerbaycanlı Bir Alim: Molla Şemseddin Ahmed Karabaği" written by head of Social Sciences Department of BEU, PhD. in History Bilal Dadayev and professor of Karatay University Yusuf Kuchukdag has been published in the 296th edition of “Belleten” journal that has been operating since 1937 in Turkey. The journal is indexed in the "Arts of Humanities Citation Index (AHCI)" database of the Web of Science, the world's most prestigious database.

   The article contains information about the life of Molla Shamsaddin Ahmad who was originally from the Shikhlar village of the Dizaq region (now Shikhlar village of Jabrayil) and was born in Gandja, and about the activities of his son Nuh Afandi(v. 1640) in Ottoman Empire. Ottoman archive documents and books of XVI and XVII centuries were used mainly in the preparation of the article.
