Under the joint arrangement of Baku Engineering University, Absheron District Executive Power and New Azerbaijan Party Absheron District Youth Union, art exhibition of BEU students titled “Heydar Aliyev- the founder of modern Azerbaijan” dedicated to 50^th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s leadership in Azerbaijan has been held at Heydar Aliyev Center in Absheron district.  

   Head of Absheron District Executive Power Irada Gulmammadova, Head of Yasamal District Executive Power Aziz Azizov, MP Musa Guliyev, member of the NAP Political Council, Deputy Chairman of the Youth Union Samira Guliyeva, Chairman of Absheron regional branch of New Azerbaijan Party Bilman Valiyev and heads of other organizations attended the opening event organized by Architecture and Construction Department, alongside with the University staff.

   The event participants first laid flowers at the monument to National Leader Heydar Aliyev and expressed their respect and reverence.

    Later, the guests got acquainted with the handicraft exhibition of BEU students, who were studying at the Department of Architecture, Urban Planning and Design.

    The head of Architecture and Construction Department, honored architect, professor Sabir Orujov, who familiarized the guests with the exhibition, described it as a product of the environment at BEU and, mainly, the student-teacher relationship. In the context of the basic principles of our development, artworks of lecturers and students of Architecture and Construction Department were demonstrated at the exhibition. The exhibition was mainly organized on architectural design and its basics, design basics, computer graphics, and painting.

    Then, head of Absheron District Executive Power Irada Gulmammadova delivered a report on the 50^th anniversary of Great Leader's leadership in Azerbaijan. She pointed out that during his leadership Heydar Aliyev constantly served Azerbaijani people and achieved the realization of national statehood ideas, building contemporary Azerbaijan and making our nation independent with his wise policy, resolute faith, and historical insight.

    Later, the Rector of BEU, Professor Havar Mammadov made a detailed speech about the 50^th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev's leadership in Azerbaijan. He noted that Azerbaijan was among the world’s most developed counties owning to far-sighted policy of Heydar Aliyev. Today, all spheres in our country develop, new innovative technology enterprises are opened under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the worthy successor of Great Leader. Noting the importance of personnel training in accordance with the modern industry demands, the Rector pointed out that unlike the other universities, aptitude test was not required in Architecture, Urban Planning, and Design Departments at Baku Engineering University.

    Other speakers also spoke about the personal qualities of National Leader and his services to the Azerbaijani people.

    At the end of the event, honorary certificates were presented to students participating in the exhibition dedicated to the 50^th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev's leadership in Azerbaijan.
