The Materials and Metallography Laboratory of Baku Engineering University (BEU) is one of the modern laboratories located in the Technopark of the higher educational institution.

Structure, microstructure, physical and mechanical characteristics of materials are studied in this laboratory, which is important for mastering materials and material science technology. Test samples from different materials are analyzed by looking at their microstructure under a microscope after the necessary procedures. Here, surface and volume hardness of material samples are measured by different methods, as well as thermal processing of metal samples is carried out.

The laboratory is widely used in the teaching of subjects "Material science", "Technology of construction materials" and etc. . Here, students have the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge on a practical level.

The laboratory has modern equipment and devices manufactured by well-known companies. Using these devices, it is possible to study complex processes in various industrial enterprises of the country, as well as solve the problems encountered.
