Admission to free Korean language courses starts at BEU

Admission of students to free Korean language courses starts at under Baku Engineering University (BEU).

The Korean language courses are open to students interested in K-pop, Korean cinema and Korean culture, as well as those living in Azerbaijan and students except primary school students.

The registration process consists of 2 stages. In the first stage, you need to register online via Google Form (https://forms.gle/kREvvuistDfnifHi7) by August 6. Anyone who registers online must complete the registration at BEU from July 22 to August 7 (weekdays, Fridays and Saturdays only from 12 AM to 4 PM) with an ID card. At the time of registration, a level test will be taken to check the language proficiency of those who speak Korean. Those with zero language proficiency will not be tested, but will be required to attend university to complete registration. Only the registration of those who come to BEU and pass the level test will be considered completed. If the number of applicants is high, those who come to BEU and complete the registration first will have a chance to participate in the course. The selection will be based on the registration list.

Classes will be taught by Korean language teachers. E-learning materials will be used during the training. If textbooks in the form of books are used, an additional fee may be required.

The training period covers the period from September 11 to December 24, 2021 (15 weeks). Classes in 6 groups will be held online on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and on Saturdays at BEU. Students who successfully complete the Korean language course will be awarded a certificate.

It should be noted that Khirdalan Segong Institute was established in September 2020 by BMU, King Segong Institute Foundation of the Republic of Korea and Inha University. During the autumn semester of 2020, 78 students, and during the spring semester of 2021, 103 students successfully completed the course and were awarded a certificate.
