The administration team of the Education Development Fund (EDF) under the Ministry of Science and Education has visited Baku Engineering University (BEU).

Rector of the university Yagub Piriyev expressed his satisfaction to see the guests at BEU and highlighted the importance of established relations. Taking into account the innovations implemented in the higher education institution, the global development trends, the Rector gave full information about  the personnel training for new specialties required in the current labor market, the teaching system dominated by the English language, etc. Furthermore, emphasizing the university's strategic development goals for the near term, the Rector touched upon possible areas of cooperation between BEU and EDF in this context.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of EDF Elnur Nasibov noted the main strategic directions of the institution's higher education institutions and the priorities envisaged for each direction. Speaking about the possible results expected from the effective cooperation established with higher educational institutions, Elnur Nasibov drew attention to the various projects and scholarship programs implemented by EDF in order to attract students to continuous activities in the direction of science and innovations, as well as in other directions.

Later, the delegation got acquainted with the infrastructure of the higher educational institution, dormitories, including the Technopark, which enables scientific research activities, and laboratories with a modern base. During the meeting, issues such as the development of university-industry cooperation, further strengthening of activities in the direction of science and innovation were discussed, and possible opportunities for cooperation with BEU, which has a wide potential, were considered.
