A minute of silence observed at BEU in memory of the victims of the Khojaly genocide

At Baku Engineering University (BEU) on February 26 at 17:00, as was the case throughout Azerbaijan, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the victims of the Khojaly genocide.

On the night of February 25-26, 1992, Armenian armed forces, with the assistance of the 366th Motor Rifle Regiment of the former USSR, attacked the city of Khojaly and brutally massacred the civilian population. 613 residents of the city, including 63 children and 106 women, were brutally murdered, 1275 people were taken prisoner and hostage and tortured. The fate of 150 of them is still unknown. 5379 residents of Khojaly were forcibly expelled from the city, 8 families were completely destroyed, 25 children lost both parents, and 130 children lost one of their parents.

May God have mercy on all our martyrs!
