Baku Engineering University (BEU) has organized the first in-university online Hackathon competition among Azerbaijani universities to bring together technological solutions to combat the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. UniHub Hackathon competition "We are strong together!" organized by BEU Technopark and Innovation Center, BEU Student Scientific Society (SSS), "ENACTUS BEU" and "New Idea" teams successfully completed.
The questions of the teams were answered on the Facebook page of BEU Technopark and Innovation Center (https://www.facebook.com/beutechnopark/) and various discussions were held. In addition, the teams benefited from the support of mentors.
Following the team presentations, the winners of the UniHub Hackathon competition were announced live by the jury on Facebook.
According to the results of the competition, the first place was awarded to the project "EasyCare" by members of the team consisting of 3rd year students of Computer Engineering and Education Faculty of BEU (Kamil Aliyev, Jala Mirzayeva, Gulnar Abasova). The team developed a virtual platform for communication between the patient and the doctor at home during the pandemic, as well as between doctors.
The project "AllinOne" by Elvin Agamammadzadeh, a fourth-year student majoring in Computer Engineering at BEU was awarded II place. The project is a social platform to support people in need during the COVID-19 period.
The third place was awarded to the project "Cfarm" of the first-year students of the specialty of Information Technology of BEU (Khayal Mammadaliyev, Mirsaid Mirzazade, Nijat Mammadov, Yusif Bayramov). The project was related to the introduction of a modular system for food supply during a pandemic.
The winners and other teams were provided with e-certificates by the organizers, as well as 3-month incubation support.
