Rector of BEU observes the online written exam together with Korean ambassador

Rector of Baku Engineering University (BEU),  Professor Havar Mammadov and Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Azerbaijan Tong Op Kim have watched the online exam process organized by Koreans for admission to the dual degree program jointly implemented by BEU and Inha University of Korea. Thus, the organization of the examination process was based on special rules. During the exam, two cameras were installed, one of which was a computer camera and the other was a phone camera. One of these cameras is used to show students' hands and the other their faces. There is an observer who monitors the movements of students in a certain small group. Moreover, special software was organized during the exam process. If a student tries to transfer or enter additional programs, that student's exam line will be cut.

One hour was allocated for online exams. The maximum score in mathematics is 60, and 40 in physics. There are 6 questions for each. Along with the answers to the questions in the examination process, the solution process must also be presented. Otherwise, it is evaluated with "0" points. Then there will be an online English interview based on the application documents(approximately 7 minutes per person).

Later, the sides discussed issues related to future cooperation. Rector Havar Mammadov gave detailed information about BEU. Noting the importance of international dual degree programs, the rector described the program between the two universities as a new stage in cooperation between Azerbaijan and Korea in the field of education.

Noting the implementation of a dual degree program in Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering and Electronics Engineering, the rector said that the students would study at BEU for 3 years and at Inha University for 1 year. Moreover, he emphasized that a Khirdalan branch of the King Seong Institute would be established at BEU and free Korean language courses would be organized here. Rector Havar Mammadov added that 1514 people had already applied for the study of the Korean language.
