Projects of BEU students demonstrated at 4th Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition

Baku Engineering University (BEU) has been represented at the 4th Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition ADEX. BEU took part in the exhibition organized for the first time after glorious victory of Azerbaijan in the 44-day Patriotic War with two teams, "RED", the winner of first place at TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan festival in category of Robotics, and "Turan" team.

The "RED" project is aimed at preventing the loss of life and turning military vehicles into a target center during the delivery of medical supplies and food products to soldiers in the war zone. Thus, within the framework of the "RED" project, a remote-controlled electric self-driving car model was developed for transporting food and medical supplies to soldiers in combat conditions. The advisor of the team is Sahib Mutallibov, assistant of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of BMU, tutor of the Faculty of Engineering.

On the basis of the next project serving military purposes, the "Turan" robot was developed. Thus, the multi-purpose robot "Turan" has the opportunity to participate in mine search. Furthermore, the sound device and the camera located on it are intended for the use of "Turan" during explorations. If the robot detects a wounded soldier while on reconnaissance, it can enter into a dialogue with him and even send his body temperature to the base automatically. The advisor of the "Turan" team is Asif Ganbayev, the senior lecturer of the Department of Computer and Information Technologies of BEU.

ADEX, where modern weapons and equipment are displayed, is an international platform that demonstrates the power and might of the military-industrial complex of the Republic of Azerbaijan and world companies. More than 200 companies from about 30 countries of the world participated in this year's exhibition.
