Orientation meetings have been held with the first-year students of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences admitted to the bachelor's degree of Baku Engineering University (BEU).
Dear memory of the patriots that became martyrs in the battles on the freedom, independence and territorial integrity of our country was commemorated with a minute of silence, afterwards National Anthem of the Azerbaijan Republic was played.
Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Associate Professor Mayis Azizov congratulated students majoring in Public Administration (Azerbaijani and English). Touching upon disciplinary issues, the dean gave detailed information about the specialties available at the faculty.
Head of the Public Administration Department, Associate Professor Samir Guliyev informed the students about the lessons to be taught in the coming period and the prospects of work created by this specialty. Touching upon social activities, the head of the department spoke about the student clubs existing at the university and their membership.
Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Khanlar Heydarov informed about the organization of distance education in the current conditions.
At the meeting for students majoring in Finance (Azerbaijani and English), BEU Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Associate Professor Elchin Suleymanov congratulated the students and said that they had taken the right step by choosing BEU.
Head of the Department of Finance, PhD. in Economics Fuzuli Aliyev spoke about the importance of BEU Finance Department, and added that students studying in this specialty had great opportunities to participate in exchange programs. The head of the department noted that the graduates of BEU majoring in Finance, not only obtained a master's degree in the world's leading universities, but also worked in the most prestigious companies in the world.
Professor of the Department of Finance Saleh Mammadov made a report on the history and importance of the specialty of Finance.
At the end of the meetings, students were provided with e-mails to register for classes.
