Online summer school organized within the framework of "MAGNUS" Erasmus + KA2 project

Online summer school was organized on July 20-24, 2020 within the framework of Erasmus + KA2 project "Development of mobile applications and game design master's programs (MAGnUS) in partner universities" funded by the European Union and implemented under the leadership of Linkopings University. 

Summer school aimed to introduce some of the topics of the new master's program to students by lecturers from partner universities.

Along with BEU students, the summer school was attended by BEU lecturers. Thus, on July 23, Yusif Yusifov, lecturers of Computer and Information Technologies Department, spoke on "iOS application for beginners". Moreover, Etibar Seyidzada, senior lecturer of the Department, made a speech  on "Data Structure - Asymptotic Analysis of Algorithms" in English.  Employees of Derby University of England, Polytechnic Institute of Tomar of Portugal, Tallinn University of Estonia, Southern Federal University of the Russian Federation, Astrakhan State University and Voronezh State University, as well as other higher education institutions of Azerbaijan (BSU and ASOIU) took part in the online summer school.

It should be noted that the aim of the current project is to improve the quality of Information Technology (IT) education and increase the employment of IT graduates by developing a master's program "Mobile applications and game design" that meets the modern requirements of the Bologna principles for non-EU universities, such as universities involved as partners from Azerbaijan and Russia. The current project also envisages increasing the knowledge and skills of IT teachers at partner universities and establishing a laboratory that meets modern requirements.
