Mathematics Department of Baku Engineering University(BEU) has hosted online defense of dissertations. 

Rector of BEU, Professor Havar Mammadov listened to the presentation of dissertations written by students on various topics. He highly appreciated the students for expressing their opinions in English fluently. Congratulating the students who defended their dissertations, the rector wished them success in their future endeavors.

Eight students, who took part in the defense process chaired by Feyruz Hasanov, associate professor of the Department of Applied Mathematics of Baku State University, defended their dissertations. Students who answered the questions of the chairman and members of the commission in detail achieved high results.

Vice-Rector for academic affairs of BEU, professor Hamzaga Orujov, deputy dean for academic affairs of Education Faculty Seyran Gayibov, head of Mathematics Department Rakib Afandiyev, and lecturers of the Department took part in the defense process and congratulated the students.

Speaking on behalf of the students, the group representative Aytaj Piriyeva thanked all the teachers who contributed to the formation of knowledge, and expressed her confidence that the knowledge and experience gained at BEU would play an important role in their future activities.

It should be noted that this year, the final attestation of 709 undergraduate students at BEU will be based on the Grade Point Avarage (GPA). 61 students will take the online state exam according to their wishes. There will be an online defense of thesis for 25 undergraduate students. At the master's degree, 129  dissertations of graduate students will be defended online.
