Next online meeting of BEU Scientific Council held

The next online meeting of the Scientific Council of Baku Engineering University (BEU) has been held. At the meeting, the rector of BEU, Professor Havar Mammadov noted the works done in the direction of distance education at the University during the pandemic. Noting that the vast majority of students attend these classes, the rector touched upon the organization of the spring exam session. Rector Havar Mammadov highly appreciated the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers "On some measures to eliminate the negative impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on the educational process in educational institutions of the country".

At the meeting of the Scientific Council, the state of education, the organization of the spring exam session and important issues on this agenda were analyzed in detail. It was noted in the speeches that the existing infrastructure of BEU, which had a high level of e-governance capabilities, allowed to conduct exams adequately to the current situation. 

The views of the members of the Scientific Council, the heads of relevant structures on education on the issues on the agenda were heard.

The issues of international cooperation of the University were also touched upon at the meeting. It was noted that a dual degree program would be launched in the new academic year in accordance with the cooperation between BEU and Inha University. Moreover, the meeting decided to open the Samsung Electronics Engineering Academy in the near future in order to develop engineering creativity in students, as well as to form an innovative approach.

At the end, instructions were given to the heads of relevant structures to implement the work on the issues discussed as soon as possible.
