An exhibition of new startups formed on the basis of ideas put forward by students has been held at Baku Engineering University (BEU) Technopark.

Rector Yagub Piriyev, academic staff of the university, students, as well as employees representing the High Technologies Park of the Ministry of Science and Education, "Sabah HUB" Incubation Center, Digital Development Agency and other guests participated in the exhibition.

At the event, the rector drew attention to the landscape of the global startup ecosystem and emphasized the purposeful steps taken by our state to support innovative policies and entrepreneurial initiatives. Stating that there are great opportunities and potential in Azerbaijan's startup ecosystem, the rector touched upon issues such as financing successful startup projects and turning innovative ideas into business. Noting that innovation has become an integral part of the strategic planning of higher education institutions and organizations for future development, the rector added that the activities for the development of startups at BMU will be further strengthened.

Director of Technopark Isa Gasimov brought to attention the information about the startups involved in the program. It was noted that the incubation program was launched in order to develop and support startups. Startups will be provided with various incubation services such as business networking support, marketing, accounting classes, mentor training, investment and market access.

Later, Bunyamin Seyidov, head of the Incubation and Technology Transfer Center of the High Technologies Park of the Ministry of Science and Education, and Sevinj Azizova, a project specialist of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, expressed their views on support for startups and the development goals of the institutions they represent in this field.

After the speeches, the exhibition was viewed. At the exhibition, BEU students gave detailed information about startups, the essence of projects, the possibilities of turning an idea into a business, etc. 

The projects displayed at the exhibition were received with interest by the visitors.
