The report-election meeting of the Trade Union Committee of Baku Engineering University (BEU) has been held.

At the meeting, the report of Hazi Gasimov, chairman of BEU TUC, was heard on the activities of the committee during the last period. In the report, the implementation status of the organization's income and expenditure estimates, including the effective organization of the team's free time at the university, the provision of participation in various cultural and mass events, and the strengthening of their recreation and social protection, were brought into consideration.

The voted report was considered satisfactory.

The vice-rector for social issues and public relations of BEU Bayram Huseynzada specially emphasized the activity and initiative of H. Gasimov during the years he chaired the organization. He said that the activity of BEU TUC during the past period was based on transparency and humanity. The vice-rector of the BEU TUC spoke about the attention paid to employees with vulnerable social status and added that the activity of the committee is generally positive.

Mirza Jafarzada, deputy chairman of the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Education Workers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, highlighted issues such as the activities of the organization he represented, labor relations regulated by bilateral and collective agreements, and the rights and duties of employees. Touching on the work done by BEU TUC in the past period, the vice-chairman positively evaluated the activity of the committee that cooperates closely with the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Education Workers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

After the speeches, honorary decrees were presented to H. Gasimov for his effective activity on behalf of BEU and the management of the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Education Workers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Later, the new composition of the committee's management structures was determined. Shikar Gasimov, an employee of BEU, was elected the new chairman of TUC by voting. Sh. Gasimov expressed his gratitude for the trust shown to him and noted that he would work hard to cope with his duties.
