Baku Engineering University has hosted the next informative event about Global Talent, Global Teacher and Global Volunteer internship programs.
Opening the event, Local Committee Vice President of Marketing at AIESEC in Azerbaijan, BEU student Gulara Mammadova provided general information about the history of the organization and its internship programs.
Later, students of Baku State University (BSU) Idris Guliyev, Turkan Aghayeva and student of Baku Engineering University Muraz Hasanov participating in the internship programs of the organization took the floor. The speeches focused on AIESEC's activities, Global Teacher and Global Talent internship programs. It was noted that Global Teacher was an international program that aimed to provide students and young graduates with internship in non-governmental organizations, educational institutions and international schools abroad, while Global Talent was an international program that aimed to provide university students and graduates with professional experience abroad in accordance with the fields in which they wanted to specialize.
Moreover, Narmin Aliyeva, a graduate of Mathematics and Informatics Department of BEU Education Faculty, shared her experience with students. Noting her participation in the Global Volunteer internship program in Slovakia, N.Aliyeva added that joining the program gave her the opportunity to participate in various social projects, develop her language skill, make international friends and get acquainted with the cultures of other countries.
The event ended with discussions on issues of interest to students.
Of note, AIESEC is an international youth organization operating in more than 126 countries and currently has more than 44,000 active volunteers. AIESEC, which has led to the personal development of more than 1 million young people since its establishment, aims to contribute to the development of youth by identifying their leadership potential. Furthermore, AIESEC provides young people with the opportunity to gain international experience through various programs. The organization (AIESEC in Azerbaijan), which has been operating in Azerbaijan since 2006, has more than 200 active members. Since its establishment, BEU has closely worked with the organization, which contributes to the personal development of more than 10,000 young people.
