Individual creative exhibition "Spring flowers" at BEU

An individual creative exhibition called "Spring Flowers" has been held at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

At the exhibition organized on the occasion of March 8 - International Women's Day, about 60 batik and painting works of Afshan Asadova, a teacher of the Department of Design of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction of the university, a member of the Azerbaijan Artists' Union, a winner of the President's Prize, mainly dedicated to the celebration of the Motherland and spring motifs, were displayed.

Speaking at the opening of the event, Yagub Piriyev, Rector of BEU, conveyed his warmest congratulations to the participants on the occasion of the holiday.

Emphasizing the importance of the exhibition in terms of reviving almost forgotten works of art such as batik and introducing them to students, the rector in his speech noted the special role of art in conveying ideas about important events to future generations. Moreover, he pointed out that women have a special place among the artists who made great contributions to the art of Azerbaijan, including painters, graphic artists, painters and sculptors.

At the event, Ziyadkhan Aliyev, Doctor of Philosophy in Art Studies, Honored Art Worker, Sabir Orujov, Head of the Architecture Department, Sugra Bagirzada, Member of the Azerbaijan Artists' Union, Founder of "Floristika" Art Support Public Union, Mahabbat Mehdiyeva, Honored Art Worker, Museum Scientist, and other guests expressed their views on the exhibition.

Later, the displayed works were inspected. The presentation of batik art, which is one of the ancient types of applied art and has great national traditions, in a different form was welcomed by the participants of the event.
