Foreign students studying at Baku Engineering University (BEU) have taken an active part in the next tree planting campaign organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and joined by the Ministry of Science and Education.
Along with foreign students, citizens of Pakistan, Philippines, Palestine, Russia, Nigeria, Sri Lanka studying in various specialties at the university, Narmin Gahramanli, International Relations and Project Management Department specialist on work with foreign students, also participated in the campaign on the Absheron Peninsula.
The campaign, which was organized in order to contribute to the creation and protection of a healthy environment, the improvement of the ecological situation, and the increase of greenery in the country, also served the purpose of networking and increasing social activities of foreign students. More than 100 foreign students from 18 higher education institutions from 33 countries participated in the campaign.
Representatives of relevant institutions, including the State Migration Service, the Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Eurasian Regional Center of Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum also attended the event.
