First scientific-practical conference of students at BEU starts

The first scientific-practical conference of students dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the Department of Automation, Telecommunications and Energy at Baku Engineering University (BEU) has started its work.

Delivering an opening speech, the head of the mentioned department, professor Ramiz Humbatov emphasized the importance of the conference and wished success to the young participants.

BEU Vice-rector for science and innovation issues Agasi Malikov gave detailed information about the scientific activities of the university. Speaking about the importance of holding such a conference, the Vice-rector pointed out that engineering specialties prevail in the higher education institution, and expressed his belief that young scientists will make new inventions and write scientific articles in this field. Agasi Malikov also drew attention to the role of the conference in terms of personal development of students and building their future careers.

Huseyn Mirzayev, dean of the Engineering faculty of the university, brought into consideration the achievements of the department of automation, telecommunications and energy in the last 5 years. Speaking in detail about the implemented research projects and scientific researches, the dean also emphasized the steps taken to educate young scientists and expressed his belief that the conference will contribute to this work.

Rashad Aliyev, a 3rd-year student of Electrical and electronics engineering, gave information about the current topics to be discussed at the conference.

Later, at the conference, the presentations of the students' reports, prepared under the scientific guidance of the teachers of the Department of Automation, Telecommunications and Energy, began.

The two-day conference will include "Energy", "Radio engineering and telecommunications", "Automatics, telecommunications and energy" sections, and scientific reports of students studying engineering specialties will be heard on various topics. Furthermore, information will be given about the new devices prepared by the students.
