A meeting was organized for second, third, and fourth-year students at Baku Engineering University (BEU) regarding bp's "2026 Early Careers" and "Early Engagement" programs.
During the meeting, comprehensive information was provided about the opportunities offered to young people seeking to build careers in subsurface geology, drilling and well operations, engineering, as well as business fields.
Gulchohra Ibrahimova, Director of BEU's Enterprise Relations and Career Center, spoke about the university's cooperation with enterprises and the benefits of such meetings for students. It was noted that these programs contribute to students' familiarization with the real work environment, gaining experience, and career development.
Mehriban Shikhzamanova, bp's early career consultant, provided general information about the company and presented a demonstration on early career programs. She spoke in detail about the purpose of internship and graduate programs, selection criteria, application procedures, criteria, and available vacancies. It was announced that lower-year students can apply to the internship program, while final-year students and graduates can apply to the graduate program. The graduate program lasts 10 weeks, and during this period, participants who successfully present their projects have the opportunity to be employed at bp.
During the event, practical recommendations were also provided regarding the proper completion of CVs and questionnaires in the program application process.
At the end, questions of interest to students were answered.
