BEU hosts tree-planting action in connection with the 100th anniversary of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev

A tree-planting action has been held at Baku Engineering University (BEU) within the framework of the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of independent Azerbaijan.

Rector of BEU, Professor Havar Mammadov, employees of the higher education institution, professors and teachers and students took part in the action.

The dear memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev was commemorated in the action, which aims to increase greenery, support environmental health, as well as to promote ecological culture. It was reported that the environmental policy founded by our Great Leader is being successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev, and continuous measures are being taken to ensure environmental safety, as well as to build new greenery and parks.

In the planting campaign, more than 250 different types of trees were planted in the university territory in accordance with the nature and climate of the Absheron peninsula.
