BEU Vice-Rector participates in training within Erasmus + project

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Baku Engineering University (BEU), Professor Hamzagha Orujov has taken part in a two-day training entitled "Strategic Planning and Management" held within “Establishment of Rectors’ Conference in Azerbaijan” Erasmus + project.

The training supported by the Azerbaijan HR Institute was attended by vice-rectors and officials of 16 higher education institutions that were members of the project consortium.

First of all, the event provided information about the works done under the project, as well as about the training.

Adviser to the Minister of Education Nijat Mammadli stressed the importance of strategic planning and management in the effective management of higher education institutions.

Later, Nazim Aliyev, a professional trainer with international education and experience in management, took the floor.

On the first day of the training, the importance of strategic planning, techniques and methods of planning, involvement of stakeholders in the process, analysis of strengths and weaknesses, existing opportunities and threats of higher education institution, identification of key performance indicators, budget preparation were discussed. Necessary information was given about modern methods and forms of performance management, agile management approach in order to achieve high-performance teamwork, its basic principles, as well as about risk analysis, and etc. Furthermore, the participants made a presentation on strategic planning in teams.

At the end, the participants were awarded certificates.
