BEU Vice-Rector attends event in Poland as part of Erasmus + project

 The visit of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Republic of Poland has begun within the Erasmus + project "Establishment of the "Rectors' Conference in Azerbaijan." The delegation includes Vice-Rector for International Relations of Baku Engineering University (BEU) Manafaddin Namazov, Advisor to the Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Rectors of Azerbaijani universities and other officials who were members of the project consortium.

During the visit, the first meeting was held at the Warsaw School of Economics with the participation of representatives of the Hungarian Rectors Conference.

At the event, the Rector of the Warsaw School of Economics Piotr Wachowiak spoke about the benefits of membership in the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland for the university and Conference of Rectors of Warsaw's HEIs, of which he was president.

Welcoming the Azerbaijani delegation, President of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (CRASP) Arkadiusz Mężyk expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with our country. Touching upon the important issues related to the establishment of the conference, Arkadiusz Mezyk spoke about the CRASP contribution to the Polish higher education system, proposals to improve quality and its achievements, noting the organization's close ties with the business world, media representatives and Rectors' Conferences in other European countries.

Rudolf Smolarczyk, Head of Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia (HRK) Section of the German Rectors 'Conference, stressed the importance of the Rectors' Conference in terms of expanding international cooperation between higher education institutions, as well as the coordinated activities of universities in the country. Rudolf Smolarczyk also said that the Polish and German Rectors' Conferences regularly cooperate in discussing education policy and various development directions.

The meeting ended with discussions on topics of mutual interest.
