BEU Vice-Rector attends event held in France as part of Erasmus+ project

Vice-Rector of Baku Engineering University (BEU) for Educational Affairs Bayram Huseynzada is participating in the training program held in France within the framework of the Erasmus+ project "Establishment of the Rectors' Conference in Azerbaijan" implemented with the financial support of the European Commission.

The first meeting was organized in the French International Education Organization as part of the program covering October 3-7. The meeting was attended by the rectors of the Azerbaijani universities that were members of the project consortium, the adviser to the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, vice-rectors, as well as other authorized university representatives. Jean-Luc Nahel, coordinator of international relations of the organization and former president of the University of Rouen Normandy, opened the event with an introductory speech and expressed his pleasure to see all the guests in France

Bruno Kurval, deputy director of the educational cooperation department of the organization, emphasized that the close cooperation within the framework of the project continued successfully and the training program would be useful.

Later, David Alis, president of the University of Rennes Normandy, joined the event in online format and delivered a broad presentation on "The role and activity of committees in Rector's conferences". Touching upon the importance of the relevant committees operating within the conference, he shared his experiences on their activities, organizational structure, and functions.

After the speeches, there was a useful discussion and exchange of ideas among the participants.
