BEU Vice-Rector addresses meeting on scientific publications

Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of Baku Engineering University (BEU), Associate Professor Elchin Suleymanov has attended a meeting with the heads of higher education institutions organized by the Ministry of Education and initiated and supported by the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan.

The meeting aimed to increase knowledge and experience in publishing articles in SCOPUS, Web of Science and other international scientific journals.

The event, attended by Vice-Rectors of more than 40 higher education institutions, heads of relevant departments, scientists and young researchers, was held in the framework of the implementation of the " Roadmap in connection with the improvement of international rankings for scientific publications " approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on March 16, 2022 .

Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University Vilayat Valiyev stressed the importance of the event.

Yashar Omarov, head of the Department of Science, Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Ministry of Education, underlined the recent work done by the ministry to develop science, emphasizing the importance of the Road Map to raise the country's international rankings.

Fariz Jafarov, Head of the Sub-Group “On Improving International Ratings of Scientific Publications (H Index)” of the Working Group “On Technology and Innovation of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings”, Director of the E-GOV Development Center (EGDC)  provided information about the work done to implement “Roadmap for 2022 in connection with the improvement of international rankings for scientific publications.”

The event continued with other presentations.

BEU Vice-Rector Elchin Suleymanov made a presentation on "Creation of corporate profiles, individual pages of science and higher education institutions in international scientific databases."

Extensive discussions were held at the meeting.
