“ENACTUS BEU” team of Baku Engineering University (BEU) has taken part in the "2020 ENACTUS Azerbaijan Virtual National Competition" organized by the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and BP. Thus, “ENACTUS BEU” team participated in this competition for the first time with the “EasyCare” project. The project aims to facilitate the lives of people with disabilities and mobility throughout the day, and address some of the medical services through the mobile application. 

Kamil Aliyev from BEU Engineering Faculty, Jala Mirzayeva and Gulnar Abasova from Education Faculty, as well as Arif Najimov, Head of International Relations and Project Management Department and Elchin Yusubov, Head of Innovation Center took an active part in the project working group of the team as project consultants. BEU team qualified for the finals on August 29 as one of the two winners of the 1st league with its project. On the second day of the competition, August 30, BEU was awarded third place in the final. The winning teams were awarded trophies and certificates.

Moreover, unlike in previous years, “ENACTUS” teams of higher education institutions presented their projects in front of the jury in an online format. 14 teams competed in the competition, which consisted of a jury from more than 30 public and private organizations. The performances and projects of the four finalist teams selected in each league of the competition were evaluated by the Board of ENACTUS Azerbaijan. The winning team won the right to represent our country at the world championship "ENACTUS-2020", which will be virtually held in September this year.

It should be noted that founded in 1975 in the United States, “ENACTUS” program had so far brought together more than 72,000 participants, changed the lives of more than 2 million people, and contributed to society. Azerbaijan has joined the ENACTUS program since 2005, which aims to support young people in applying their theoretical knowledge in practice, implement business, educational and social projects, and involve them in entrepreneurial activities, as well as to support small and medium enterprises in the country. At BEU, “ENACTUS BEU” team was formed in August 2019.
